The Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago (ECA) Research & Education Committee was proud to have presented the "Basic Estimating of Electrical Construction" seminar. The program was held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 - Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (for each of the three days) at the IBEW-NECA Technical Institute (INTECH) in Alsip, IL. Jim Johannemann, NECA Estimating Training Faculty Member was the Facilitator.
The program background:
Small mistakes in an estimate can have a huge impact on your bid’s bottom line and this course provides the tools needed to be both comprehensive and competitive. This course discussed the process for assembling an estimate including: developing material lists, applying labor unit data, material takeoff and application of direct job costs, overhead, and profit.
